Summer wedding at Brockholes nature reserve in Preston
Hi everyone. I hope you all have the Friday feeling today. This weekend is wedding number two of 2018 for me so before I get the camera all packed and ready I thought I would share some pretty Brockholes nature reserve wedding photography from back in the summer with you. I said I was going to crack on with my blogging didn’t I !!
I first met Jon and Shea at a wedding fair in Manchester and when they told me they were getting married in a nature reserve I really hoped that they would book me. As a Lancashire Wedding Photographer I am lucky that I get to work in some great places but Brockholes nature reserve was definitely on the list of places I would love to shoot at and when the day itself came it certainly did not disappoint.
Shea and the girls were getting ready at her local hairdressers which is where I joined them on the wedding day morning. Everyone was very excited and looking forward to to day ahead. Once hair and make up was done we headed back to Shea’s mums house to get the dress on. Little did Shea know but she had a big surprise in store for her. A vintage wedding car arrived to take her to her wedding day in style. A quick drive up the motorway and it was time to get married. Shea’s dad was beaming as he saw his little girl arrive and so was Jon as he stood at the end of the aisle as Shea made her entrance with her dad. After a lovely ceremony guest enjoyed drinks on the floating island before it was time for a few photographs.
Weddings at Brockholes nature reserve
Getting married in a nature reserve and on a floating island is a prefect setting for a wedding day. For those who like the great outdoors and nature then this really is a perfect setting and a great backdrop for your wedding photographs. Surrounded by water, reeds and a jetty and not forgetting the ducks and other birds there are lots of pretty places to have your pictures taken.
Jon and Shea were a lovely couple to work with on their wedding day. Nice and relaxed they had a great time. Fun speeches which had everyone laughing out loud, a beautiful wedding meal, plenty of sunshine and a great party and guests. Exactly what weddings are about. Gillian and her team at Brockholes were fantastic and a great day was had by all. I hope you have enjoyed this little selection of Brockholes nature reserve wedding photography. If you are planning your own wedding day here and are looking for a wedding photographer please get in touch as I would love to hear from you and find out what you have planned.
Have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing….See you next week as I continue my blogging catch up!
