Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a nice evening and are relaxing with a nice cuppa or maybe even a cheeky glass of wine. Tonight I have a lovely wedding to share with you. Gareth and Victoria had their wedding at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel just outside of Accrington and Blackburn. As a Lancashire wedding photographer for me this is a gorgeous local wedding venue and I knew that it would be a good day.
I first met Victoria at a wedding fair in Manchester and after chatting to her on the phone one evening we realised that it was a small world as Gareth actually grew up in the village that I now live in, in fact his parents live just round the corner from me, a perfect place to meet to show them some of my beautiful Queensberry sample ablums. I was so glad that they booked me to be a part of their special day.
Before the wedding day I had enjoyed a walk around Greenbooth Reservoir in Rochdale with the pair on their pre wedding shoot. If you fancy taking a nosey you can check it out here.
On the wedding day morning I met up with the girls at Victoria’s parents home where all the action was in full flow with them all getting their hair and makeup done. After a few yummy cupcakes made by a family friend it was time to get the dress on and go and say I do.
The pair got married at their local church in a lovely service surrounded by their friends and family. Afterwards guest mingled and congratulated the happy couple before throwing some confetti at the pair. After a few formal photographs it was time to jump in their vintage wedding car and head through the Lancashire countryside to the Dunkenhalgh Hotel where they were having their wedding breakfast.
The pair had chosen to have their wedding at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel as Gareth has a real love of old buildings as part of his job so it was important for the pair for them to chose a venue which reflected this and the Dunkenhalgh Hotel fitted the bill perfectley.
The sun was shining and guests enjoyed some drinks and canopes in the garden. I whisked the new Mr and Mrs off for a few relaxed photographs in the courtyard, on the impressive staircase and against a beautiful big window before we rejoined the guests for dinner and speeches and of course later on a bit of dancing.
I had a really lovely day at Gareth and Victoria’s wedding. I hope you have enjoyed their Dunkenhalgh hotel wedding photography and if you are considering this as your wedding venue I would highly reccommend it. I would also love to be your wedding photographer so if you would like to meet up for a coffee and a chat please get in touch here as I would love to hear from you.
