Wedding Photography from Kate and Dan’s beautiful farm wedding in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley. The pair got married in a marquee on the family farm surrounded by family, friends and a lively border collie.
I love a wedding on a farm, and when the sun shines down on the Lancashire countryside and the Ribble Valley on an August summers day it really is a perfect setting for a wedding. As a Lancashire wedding photographer I am lucky that we have some stunning countryside across the county which provides the perfect rustic back drop for your wedding photographs, throw in a few straw bales and you cant beat it!
I arrived at Kate’s mums farm house to join the girls putting the finishing touches to the marquee in the garden which had been beautifully decorated with jam jars and flowers. The girls then enjoyed a tasty breakfast before getting ready for the ceremony. Kate border collie wanted to join in the fun and even had a bow tie put on for the occasion.
One of Kate’s brothers then arrived in a tractor ready to take the bride up the road to the local church to get married, what a great way to travel to your wedding.
Locals and guests watched as the tractor came up the road before everyone gathered in the church for a lovely service. The couple mingled with guests outside church afterwards, had a few photographs and some confetti thrown at them before it was time to head back to the farm to continue the celebrations.
The happy couple travelled back together in the tractor with Dan driving his new wife back through town and to the farm. After a few more photographs the pair and guests enjoyed a lovely lunch and cake made by Kate’s friend. The wedding day was a very relaxed affair with friends and family sat around on straw bales in the garden and enjoying the summers sunshine.
After some tearful speeches it was time for the first dance, the party and the hog roast to begin.
I had a great day at Dan and Kate’s farm wedding in Lancashire. I love a rustic setting for a wedding and it suits my style of wedding photography to a tee. I am a Lancashire wedding photographer but I travel all over the country for pretty weddings so If you are planning your own wedding on a farm and are still on the hunt for a relaxed and friendly photographer please get in touch as I would love to hear from you.
