Greenbooth Reservoir engagement shoot/ Rochdale wedding photographer
As a wedding photographer based in Rochdale I am very lucky to be surrounded by some stunning countryside. As an outdoorsy person I love nothing better than getting my wellies on and heading out to the hills so I was happy when Brendan and Becky suggested one of my favourite locations, Greenbooth reservoir just outside the village of Norden where I live for their pre wedding shoot. If you have never been I highly recommend it for a Sunday afternoon stroll as you wont be disappointed.
I had met the pair a few weeks before after one of my previous lovely brides recommended me and we met up ahead of their wedding at the Boltholt hotel in Bury. It was a beautiful spring evening and the light and weather was just beautiful. We took a walk along the shore with their dog who had a really good time having somewhere new to explore. We spent an hour or so ambling along the footpath that runs along side the reservoir, through some fields and the pair filled me in with all the plans that they had for their wedding day.
I really like meeting my couples for an engagement shoot somewhere fun before the big day, it is not really a practice run just a chance to chat about the wedding, get to know you both a bit and hopefully this will help you feel more at ease on your actual wedding day when I whisk you off for some couple portraits. Plus it means you get some informal pictures, other than selfies! of you not in your wedding gear!
I will be adding the pairs wedding to the blog next week , it is a good one with lots of dancing and napkin swinging thanks to the singing waiters who appeared as a surprise during the wedding breakfast, so keep your eyes peeled for that but in the meantime if you know anyone who is getting married and looking for a Rochdale wedding photographer I would love it if you could send them my way for a little chat 🙂Â
