Skipbridge Country Wedding Photography. A beautiful Tipi wedding in Yorkshire with blue skies, a friendly peacock and lots of rustic charm.

When I met Jenny at a wedding fair and she starting telling me about the plans she had for her wedding at Skipbridge Country Weddings in Yorkshire I was very excited as it sounded like just the type of rustic wedding I love and I was delighted when she chose me to do her wedding photography. She had come over to say hi at the wedding fair as she had decided she was only going to chat to smiley people and I knew we would get on as I liked this way of thinking.
The girls were getting ready in Jenny’s parent’s home in beautiful Harrogate and the wedding was taking place at the local church just around the corner. After a moving church service and some family photographs it was time to jump in the car and head through the Yorkshire countryside towards York and Skipbridge Country Wedding venue. As we approached you could see the Tipi looking stunning amongst the green fields and blue skies. I really love a tipi wedding and knew it would be a good day.
The couple had chosen this really pretty venue because of its relaxed vibe and rustic charm. Guests enjoyed pimms and took part in the garden games as the sun shone down on a beautiful summers day. There was even a peacock wandering around joining in the fun.
The couple had decided they wanted to stay in the yurts and glamp with their friends on their wedding day which sounded lots of fun. After some funny speeches and a nice meal the couple cut their very unique wedding cake. Two snowboarding helmets as this was the couples passion and where they were heading on their honeymoon.
As it grew dark the fire pits were lit and guests could enjoy drinks in the whisky hut before getting their dancing shoes on to take part in a ceilidh.
As a Yorkshire wedding photographer I had a great day photographing Jenny and Rich’s wedding day.
