I have a beautiful Bedfordshire wedding at The Mansion House at Shuttleworth to share with you this morning. James and Dana asked me to photograph their wedding at the stunning Mansion House, nestled in the pretty Bedfordshire village of Old Warden after James met my dad in the local pub whilst having a drink with a mutual friend. If you can’t rely on your dad to big you up then who can you. I grew up not far from this fantastic venue and my family still live in the Bedfordshire countryside so I was very excited to be the wedding photographer for this very grand wedding.
The Shuttleworth Collection is a unique place to have your wedding as it has three different venues in one place, the The Mansion House which James and Dana chose, the Swiss gardens and the aircraft hanger surrounded by vintage aeroplanes. After meeting James and Dana earlier in the year for their pre wedding shoot aroundthe village and cornfields of Old Warden I knew their wedding would be lots of fun. When I arrived in the morning the girls were getting ready and the bubbles had been poured. Dana looked beautiful in her dress and a very emotional dad arrived to see his little girl. Once everyone was ready it was time to go and meet James to say i do.
The couple got married at Clifton Village Church in Bedfordshire, a stunning traditional old church just up the street from the duck pond. The archway was decorated with flowers in an autumnal colour and the sun was shining as the guests arrived. This did not last long as out of nowhere it started to rain just as Dana arrived but this did not stop her beaming as she made her way up the path with her dad. A lovely service followed and then it was time for family photos, congratulations from family and friends and of course confetti, and lots of it!
A short drive through the Bedfordshire countryside and we arrived at the sweeping driveway up to the Mansion House. Guests enjoyed drink whilst listing to the grand piano being played. I whisked the couple away for some photographs before they sat down in the very grand Billiard room for an amazing meal.
This was a beautiful wedding at the Mansion House at Shuttleworth and it was nice to travel back down south to help James and Dana celebrate their big day.
