Rustic wedding at The Out Barn at Clough Bottom
Good Morning everyone, today I have a rather lovely Out Barn at Clough Bottom wedding just outside the market town of Clitheroe to share with you. As a wedding photographer in Lancashire I get to work in lots of pretty venues and locations scattered amongst the Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland and Lancashire countryside and it has to be said this is one of my favourites.
If you are looking to get married somewhere surrounded by stunning countryside and nature, with spectacular views over Pendle hill that looms in the distance then look no further than the Out Barn. It was these views that made Rachel and Paul fall in love with the place and decide it was the perfect place for them to say I do.
Rural wedding at the Out Barn
As I drove down the driveway in the morning of the pairs wedding, the rain poured down and I could barely see out of the window, even with the wipers going at full pelt…an indoor wedding today for sure I thought as I braced myself to leave the car and dash across to the cottage where the girls were getting ready. Morning preparations were in full swing and it wasn’t long before Rachel, and her baby daughter had their dresses on and were ready for the main event.
A smiling Paul waited at the end of the aisle for a beaming Rachel to arrive and the pair had a lovely ceremony surrounded by family and friends. After the official wedding ceremony the pair and their guests mingled and enjoyed drinks, we managed to dodge the showers and get a few family photographs on the decking outside but decided to wait until after the meal for photographs of the pair as it said the weather was going to pick up, which amazingly it did.
A great meal and some very funny speeches followed and then as a tiny bit of sunshine tried to peek through so we went for a quick wander to get some photographs of Paul and Rachel together. The pair were super stars and definitely wanted their wedding pictures outside as this is why they chose this venue. The pretty fairy bridge, the barn and tractor and even the walk to and from them providing the perfect back drop for their photographs.
A great party followed and I left the pair dancing on the dance floor with their nearest and dearest. I had a great day celebrating with Paul and Rachel, and I am sure that you can see it was a lovely wedding and I would like to thank them both for letting me be a part of it. I do love this rustic venue in the countryside, I think it suits my natural style of photography. If you are planning your own Out Barn at Clough Bottom wedding and are on the hunt for your wedding photographer please get in touch as I would love to hear from you.
Until next time Jade xx
