As a Lancashire wedding photographer the Out Barn at Clough Bottom was one local venue that I could not wait to shootat as this pretty rustic venue suits my relaxed style to a tee. When Greg and Louisa booked me for their big day here I knew it would be a good wedding, especially when they booked me for the night do too because of a brilliant band they had booked.

A Little bit of rain was not going to stop Greg and Louisa from having a beautiful wedding at the Outbarn in Clough Bottom. As a Lancashire wedding photographer this was one venue I was really looking forward to shooting at as it is just the type of wedding venue I love. Set in the countryside of one of my favourite spots of all, the stunning Ribble Valley the views out towards the imposing Pendle Hill on the horizon are magnificent( On a day that you can actually see the hill and it is not hidden by a big grey rain cloud!!)

I knew as I drove up the bumpy track, avoiding the pheasant en route that I was going to enjoy Greg and Louisa’s big day as apart from the usual wedding photography coverage throughout the day they had also booked me to stay right the way through to their evening do to photograph the band…The amazing Indie Killers as this was a really important part of the day for Louisa.

Louisa was getting ready in the Old Dairy cottage at the bottom of the lane from the Outbarn with her mum, sister and little bridesmaid and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. After spending a bit of time with the girls I wanders back up the lane, avoiding the puddles to see Greg and his groomsmen and all the guests who were arriving.

The ceremony room had been decorated by Louisa in the most beautiful way, full of rustic charm and inspiration. There were flowers galore, bunting, polaroid photos, love hearts, logs with names burnt in, a stunning wedding cake, and even pretty cupcakes which she had made herself. This made me a very happy wedding photographer as its always nice to have lots of gorgeous details to photograph.

After the ceremony which included a lovely poem written by `louisa’s sister, a few group shots with umbrellas and a bit of confetti it was time to whisk the newly weds off to go for an explore around the organic farmland. I do love it when a bride is happy and excited to grab a pair of wellies, especially yellow ones and head off across a field  in search of The Fairy Bridge.

I have a real love for the great outdoors and natural light and manyof the couples that book me do so because of the relaxed feel of my photography, some even marking my flyers at wedding fairs with the words rural, rustic or outdoorsy and weddings like this at the Outbarn in Clough Bottom are just the kind I loveRural Surroundings, great views, amazing couples and lots of pretty places for photographs are all a wedding photographer could ask for.

After the meal and speeches it was time for the evening do where the Indie killers, a band Louisa had been a fan of since her university days were playing.  Wow these guys definitely knew how to get the party started and It wasn’t long before the dance floor was full and everyone was rocking…some even with blow up guitars.

I hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photography from Greg and Louisa’s wedding at the at the Outbarn in Clough Bottom. If you are planning your own wedding at this gorgeous Lancashire Wedding venue I would love to hear from you as I would love to be back again soon. xx
