This afternoon I have a rather gorgeous wedding at the White Hart Inn in Lydgate to share with you. Mark and Katie got married at their local church in Oldham before heading up the road to this beautiful Saddleworth wedding venue, high on the hillside overlooking the beautiful Lancashire countryside and Oldham in the distance. As a Lancashire wedding photographer based in Rochdale this is one of my favourite local venues and its always a pleasure to capture weddings at this great place and I am lucky enough to have shot weddings here quite a few times.
The White Hart is a Beautiful village pub and wedding venue and is great for photographs as just opposite and across the road there is a pretty little footpath perfect for your wedding day pictures, which has long romantic grass and sweeping views.
I met up with Katie and the girls in the morning and they were busy getting their hair and make up done. Mark had left lots of little gifts for Katie to open on her wedding morning including a pack of playing cards with a reason why he loves her on each one, such a sweet and romantic gesture it had all the girls oohing and aahing!
Once the girls were ready it was time to jump in the yellow camper van that had come to collect them and head off to church to get married. Who doesn’t love a camper van…..I really want one 🙂
The pair got married in the same church that Katie’s parents had said I do at. A nice ceremony followed and after the pair mingled with the guests outside church. After a few family photographs, some confetti action and some fun pictures in the camper van it was time to head to the White Hart Inn to continue the wedding day celebrations.
The pair had decorated the conservatory with pretty rustic flowers and had games on the lawn outside for their guests to play with. Grown up giant connect four is a very serious game don’t you know!
The couple had a lovely wedding and I loved being their wedding photographer so a big thank you for picking me to help you celebrate.
